APPOINTMENT OF ABU MUSA AL-ASH‘ARI(ra) AS THE GOVERNOR OF KUFAH

Hazrat ‘Uthman(ra) said:

“I appoint Abu Musa Al-Ash‘ari(ra) as the governor of Kufah. By God, I shall give these people no opportunity to raise an objection or allow them to find fault. In response to their statements I shall demonstrate patience as per the commandment of the Holy Prophet(sa), until the time that they desire arrives, i.e., the removal of ‘Uthman.”1

This conflict disclosed that these people did not even slightly refrain from speaking lies and falsehood.
