With gratitude and great pleasure Lajna Imaillah UK humbly presents this book about Hazrat Sayyeda Nusrat Jahan Begum (ra), who we lovingly and respectfully call Hazrat Amman Jan. We are indebted to sister Munavara (Nabbo) Ghauri for writing this book. Jazakumullah ahsenal Jazah. Specially all those who can’t benefit from material written in urdu will treasure this wonderful glimpse into the life of this outstanding pious and devoted companion of Hazrat Masih Maud (as) in english. Hazrat Amman Jan’s amazing character and wonderful personality as an individual person is exemplary for all of us. She spent her whole life doing good deeds to serve and please Allah and helping others where ever she could. Her understanding and deep devotion and unshakable trust in Allah is visible in everything Hazrat Amman Jan (ra) said and everything she did. Hazrat Amman Jan (ra) had a deeply rooted faith in the Promised Messiah (as) and his mission which was entrusted to him by Allah and she was driven by her only desire in her life, to serve Allah and His messenger with every faculty she had been granted by Allah. This found expression in a dream that Hazrat Masih Maud (as) had in which Hazrat Amman Jan said to the Promised Messiah (as):

“For the sake of Allah Almighty’s will I have forsaken my own will.”

And as response to this the promised Messiah (as) replied in the dream:

“Because of this you have been embellished with beauty.”

After the sad demise of Hazrat Masih Maud (as), Hazrat Amma Jan (ra) displayed the same resolute devotion to the second manifestation and exhibited her strong bond to the institution of Khilafat. I’m sure who ever reads this book about our beloved Hazrat Amma Jan (ra), who is also regarded as “Hazrat Ummul Mominin” will thoroughly enjoy reading about her inspiring and pleasant personality and experience the strong desire to improve themselves in various aspects of their life. Lajna Imaillah UK is grateful to Hazrat Khalifatul-Masih Khamis (aba) for the permission to publish this inspiring book . May Allah enable us women to follow her shining example and gain the pleasure of Allah Almighty and may He accept our humble prayers and help us to be source of pleasure to Him and Hazrat Ameerul Mominin with every word and every deed for as long as we live.
