This is the fire that every Ahmadi has to kindle in their hearts and have to mould their pains into prayers. Yet, for all this, the mediator has to be the Holy Prophet(sa). For the acceptance of our prayers, to attract the love of God, to avoid the absurdities of the world, to protect ourselves from wickedness of this kind that take place, to keep the love of the Holy Prophet(sa) alive in our hearts, for the good of our life in this world and the Hereafter, we should invoke blessings and salutations on the Holy Prophet(sa), immeasurably. Indeed we should do so profusely. In this seditious time, to keep ourselves immeresed in the love of the Holy Prophet(sa) and to keep our next generations firm on Ahmadiyyat and Islam, each Ahmadi should strictly adhere to the commandment that:
Allah and His angels send blessings on the Prophet. O ye who believe! you also should invoke blessings on him and salute him with the salutation of peace. (Surah Al-Ahzab, 33:57)
The Holy Prophet(sa) once said, in fact there are many references of this, that for me the blessings of Allah and His angels is sufficient, the commandment for you is for your own protection.

We are, therefore, in need of invoking these blessings for the acceptance of our prayers. On balance, this verse and the first section of this Hadith gives the assurance that no matter how much they try to deride or disparage the station of the Holy Prophet(sa) they can never succeed against the prayers of blessings and salutations that Allah and His angels are invoking on him. They can never gain anything from the attacks they make on the most blessed person of the Holy Prophet(sa) and, God willing, Islam is going to progress and triumph in the world and the banner of the Holy Prophet(sa) shall be raised all over the world.
As I said, in this age, Allah the Exalted has destined this through his true and ardent devotee, the Promised Messiah(as).
There is a reference of Hadrat Maulana Abdul Karim ra Sialkot(ra), he says in an extract:
Once I heard from Hadrat Imam(as) that Allah had given him these stations by virtue of his invoking blessings on the Holy Prophet(sa). He said, 'I see the beneficences of Allah reach the Holy Prophet(sa) in a most wondrous luminous form, and they are absorbed in the breast of the Holy Prophet(sa) from, there, they emerge through innumerable tubes which reach each rightful person in proportion to the worth of their share. Certainly no beneficence can reach others without the means of the Holy Prophet(sa).
He then said:
What is Durud Sharif -- to call upon that lofty station of the Holy Prophet(sa), through which these tubes of spiritual light emerge. It is incumbent upon whoever wishes to have the blessings and beneficence of Allah the Exalted to invoke Durud Sharif in abundance so that the beneficence is stirred. (Al-Hakam, Vol. 7, No. 8, p. 7, 28th February, 1903)
May Allah make it so that to avoid the evils of the world and to foster the love of the Holy Prophet(sa) in our hearts, to spread his teachings in the world, and we continue to be the recipients of the blessing and beneficence by invoking Durud, by turning to Allah and seeking His help. May God Almighty help us.
